New Line Cinema is aiming for a big screen realization of the 80s Nintendo banger, RAMPAGE.
Featuring the amazing scenario in which you play a humongous gorilla (a la King Kong), a giant Wolfman, or a huge lizard (a la Godzilla) and simply destroy cities (why was I too young for this?!), The Hollywood Reporter announced that FINAL DESTINATION producer John Rickard is working to bring aboard a writer and craft and big, old monster movie.
No writer, director or projected date just yet, but with PACIFIC RIM currently underway, could we be leaving tired, natural disaster doomsday scenarios for something a hell of a lot more fun. We can hope!
