Actor, director and FX guru Tom Savini just contacted Fango to tell us about one of his latest—and strangest—adventures. He’ll appear in an upcoming episode of off-the-wall Cartoon Network ADULT SWIM show AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE.

“The show airs on May 2,” Savini, who previously turned up in animated form on THE SIMPSONS, tells us. “I play myself, but I’m a cop in it. That’s all I can tell you right now, so check it out!”

AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE charts the madcap adventures of a team of sentient, super-sized fast food, including Master Shake, Meatwad and Frylock (the latter a flying package of French fries that bears more than a passing resemblance to Savini). How the man who invented the splatter film will figure into it is anyone’s guess. Check your local listings and tune in…
