The Adam Green-penned adaptation of Greg Taylor's young adult monster novel, KILLER PIZZA is about to start cookin'.
Deadline reports that MGM, bouncing back from financial woes, is in talks to acquire the film backed by Chris Columbus' 1492 Pictures. The story sees 12 year-old Toby recruited into the titular establishment, a monster-hunting organization acting as a pizza parlor.
I've gotten about halfway through the book, and it's very ripe for a GREMLINES/GOONIES/MONSTER SQUAD-esque big screen version, especially with Columbus behind it all. No word on who will be taking the helm, however.
