Ole Bornedal's return to English-language filmmaking, the Sam Raimi-produced THE POSSESSION (formerly DIBBUK BOX), is off its January release.
Now hitting August 31, as The Hollywood Reporter notes, THE POSSESSION sees a family under attack from an evil spirit that resides in an antique wooden box purchased from a yard sale. Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kyra Sedgwick star.
It seems most likely THE DEVIL INSIDE's plans to release January 6 caused the move.
