Hey UK! It seems you will get HUMAN CENTIPEDE II, but it's not exactly the "full sequence."
Empire reports that the BBFC has rescinded on their initial decision to ban Tom Six's much-buzzed about sequel, awarding the film an 18 certificate with two minutes worth of edits (about 32 cuts) made. This is undoubtedly better than nothing for UK-set fans that are anticipating the return of ass-to-mouthery and high violence promised by the filmmaker.
The film, which sees a deranged fan of the first film put its practices crudely into use for his own disturbed, sexual gratification was initially denied release by the BBFC for possibly being a real threat to audiences in its truly obscene nature. Whatever you think of the film, the new classification is definitely a victory of sorts.
Oddly enough, Fango saw THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE II: FULL SEQUENCE at its premiere in Austin in its full, unbridled form and as expected with such things surrounded by hype and extravagance, found to not be as gross as we've been expecting. You can read our review of the film right here.
Stateside, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE II hits select theaters tomorrow, October 7 and VOD October 12.
