Here's a bit of awesome "what if" news that could still very much happen.

Shock Til You Drop recently asked the legendary director of THE BROOD about the FLY remake he was supposedly aboard, and Cronenberg surprisingly replied with this: "THE FLY is not exactly a remake, it's sort of a sequel, kinda. Yeah, that was a thing. I've written a script of that, and I don't know if that's going to really happen, but that has to do with Fox."

So, there's another FLY penned by the great Cronenberg floating around? Why isn't Fox on this?

Interestingly enough, the filmmaker also set the record straight on his supposed involvement with an American remake of TIMECRIMES. "TIMECRIMES, that was a strange thing, but that's what happens. They proposed it to me, I said 'No,' and then suddenly it was on the 'net like I'm doing it, and I think the producer was so excited that I'd read it and look at their original movie that he started talking about it like it's happening. Actually, I think it was the director of the Spanish version was responsible for saying I'm doing it, but I was never doing it."
