The folks behind DEER CROSSING just keep on sending the pics
of the familiar faces they’ve cast in their indie horror opus, and now they’ve
given us the first photos of HELLRAISER perennial Doug Bradley in his role in the
film. Keep reading for a look, and news about another genre regular added to
the cast.
Bradley plays Sheriff Lock in DEER CROSSING, directed by Christian Jude Grillo, who says that the actor trades his familiar pins for needles as the drug-addicted character, and that the part is a far cry from what his fans are used to. “Take away the nails, and you’ve got a brilliant actor underneath,” Grillo tells Fango. “Doug has a presence that commands your attention.” He adds that there have already been discussions about a follow-up feature in which both Bradley and co-star Ernie Hudson (see previous story here) would return. “DEER CROSSING is just a small peek into the characters of Carvin County. The second installment would focus mainly on Doug’s character.”
Also joining the cast is actress Raine Brown (bottom photo with David Folger), a familiar face from numerous East Coast horror features. DEER CROSSING, which focuses on the kidnapping of a mother and son by a rural psychopath, also stars Laura Lynn Cottrel, K.J. Linhein, Kevin Fennell, Tom Detrik, Jennifer Butler (2nd photo below with Bradley), Rob Dimension, Carmela Hayslett and Erika Lynn.
