The eerie indie MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE has two new hidden trailers for you to find.
EW has debuted the two latest posters for the film, the first feature from writer/director Sean Durkin. Each one-sheet contains a trailer that can be unlocked by scanning the QR codes and are exclusive to smartphone users (so if someone can explain to me how to scan with my Blackberry, I'd be wildly grateful). Apparently, the posters should be popping up around Manhattan, Brooklyn and L.A. in the coming weeks.
"MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE is a powerful psychological thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen as Martha, a young woman rapidly unraveling amidst her attempt to reclaim a normal life after fleeing from a cult and its charismatic leader (John Hawkes). Seeking help from her estranged older sister Lucy (Sarah Paulson) and brother-in-law (Hugh Dancy), Martha is unable and unwilling to reveal the truth about her disappearance. When her memories trigger a chilling paranoia that her former cult could still be pursuing her, the line between Martha's reality and delusion begins to blur."
You can see the posters and the film's first trailer below. MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE isn't strictly horror, but it's damn, damn good and quite unsettling. It hits October 21 from Fox Searchlight and comes highly recommended. For more, be on the lookout for an interview with star Elizabeth Olsen in FANGORIA #308 (on sale in October).
