Despite its production starting in the fall, Legendary Pictures is bringing Guillermo del Toro's highly anticipated PACIFIC RIM to San Diego Comic-Con, and in its announcement brought news of a new member of the cast!
PACIFIC RIM will hold a Q&A and panel on Friday, July 22. The panel will include del Toro, screenwriter Travis Beacham and stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba and Charlie Day. Also listed was actress Rinko Kikuchi (BABEL, THE BROTHERS BLOOM). It's the first we've seen her name in relation to the film, but hey, what a great addition!
The film sees Earth under attack from epic creatures, with humans taking up mechas in defense. It's set to release July 12, 2013.
Legendary also announced their panel will include PARADISE LOST, Alex Proyas' adaptation of John Milton's classic work. Star Bradley Cooper will join in discussions about their "action-heavy take on the epic poem centered on the war in heaven between archangels Michael and Lucifer."
