Veteran actor Willem Dafoe, whose genre credits range from
his Oscar-nominated turn in SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE to the torturous starring
role in ANTICHRIST, is aiming to add another one to his résumé: the Dean Koontz
adaptation ODD THOMAS.
Variety reports that the actor is in talks to play Sheriff Wyatt Porter in the film, written and to be directed by Stephen Sommers. Anton Yelchin has the title role of a fry cook who can speak with the dead and battles a villain dubbed “Fungus Man,” and it was reported the other day that Addison Timlin looks likely to play his girlfriend, Stormy Llewellyn. The movie rolls May 2 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
