Playwright, author and Fango scribe Clay McLeod Chapman is returning to New York City’s Dixon Place (161A Chrystie St, between Rivington and Delancey; 212-219-0736) this week for the first “Fear-Mongers: Fireside Chats About Horror Films” of 2011. And this time it comes with director/producer extraordinaire Larry Fessenden and a FANGORIA editor in tow! Full lineup and details below…

Described as “Part talk show, part reading series,” Fear-Mongers has its guests “present personal essays on those particular celluloid terrors that continue to resonate with them today.” This Thursday, March 31, Chapman will host the aforementioned Glass Eye Pix head honcho and WENDIGO/LAST WINTER director Fessenden, MARTIN and DAY OF THE DEAD star John Amplas, author Sarah Langan (AUDREY’S DOOR, THE MISSING) and Fango’s own Samuel Zimmerman.

The chats get underway at 9 p.m., and admission is $5. It should be an awesome time, so come out, enjoy the show and talk some horror with us over a post-show beer in the Dixon Place lounge.
