Word came down from producer/distributor Halo-8 Entertainment this morning that GODKILLER, the “illustrated film” by Matt Pizzolo featuring a host of horror folks among its voice cast, has set a premiere date and venue. A new trailer has also hit the web, and you can see it after the jump.
GODKILLER, previously issued piecemeal on a trio of short-form DVDs, will debut in its complete form at Chicago’s C2E2 event Friday, April 16 following a Halo-8 panel at 7:45 p.m. A new comics/multimedia convention from the team behind the New York Comic Con, C2E2 takes place April 16-18 at McCormick Place (2301 S. Lake Shore Drive). This showing will be followed by more GODKILLER screenings across the country, and the movie will then hit DVD/Blu-ray, video on demand and digital download May 25. Based on the comic by Pizzolo and Anna Muckcracker, GODKILLER is set in a postapocalyptic future where a boy goes on a horrific trek to find a new heart for a dying sister, and features the voices of Lance Henriksen, Danielle Harris, Bill Moseley, Tiffany Shepis, Nicki Clyne, Lydia Lunch and rockers Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack and Davey Havok of AFI.
