Who really wants to see another zombie movie? But a zombie TV series... OK. From THE MIST’s Frank Darabont... Right on! THE WALKING DEAD now has its first cast member for the AMC pilot: THE GHOST WRITER co-star Jon Bernthal.
THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER posted that Bernthal (who also appeared on the now-canceled EASTWICK) will be playing an outgoing bachelor who is police officer Rick Grimes’ partner and friend. DEAD, based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book, revolves around the survivors of a zombie apocalypse who, led by Grimes, go in search of a secure home. Lots more to come on THE WALKING DEAD real soon.
