Here’s something for those of you who just can’t get enough of Bella, Edward and Jacob: THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, which made its Blu-ray and DVD debut this past Saturday, has broken the single-day sales record with 4 million units sold.

HITFLIX reports that NEW MOON surpassed the landmark previously held by TWILIGHT, which sold 3.8 million units last year (and 9.2 million overall). While Summit Entertainment must be overwhelmingly pleased, it’s very likely that this record will be short-lived. That’s because the James Cameron freight train will soon be rolling into town: AVATAR is due to hit DVD and Blu-ray on April 22.
