It seems Wes Craven has let a mildly revealing detail about the happenings of Woodsboro slip. Hit the jump for the possibly spoiler-ish quote.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, the director said [POSSIBLE SPOLIER] "Sid is under attack. She has a phobia - she's never come back to her town except for the funeral of her father. Now she's returning to a world that is sane again, and then, of course, immediately it is not!"
So it would seem at some point between SCREAM 3 & 4, Mr. Prescott bit it, or at least that's I'm gleaning from the quote. Some seem to think that's why she's in Woodsboro in SCREAM 4, but I thought from the pictures online it was because of her self-help book tour. I guess we'll find out.
Either way, it's one more piece of news from the universe of SCREAM. The fourth entry hits April 15, and I cannot wait. You can see a scan of the magazine image over at Hello Sidney.
