“The Whitechapel Murderer” will be menacing your consoles, perhaps even this year, as Electronic Arts and developer Visceral Games (DEAD SPACE, DANTE’S INFERNO) will release a new game based on the infamous 19th-century serial killer Jack the Ripper.

As reported by IGN, the new game will reportedly be a download-only title for PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. No other details have been given, but because THE RIPPER is download-only, one could assume that this is won't be a huge game and has a significantly smaller development team.
