Release details have been revealed for BEST WORST MOVIE, the documentary on TROLL 2, its cast/creators and its cult legacy by Michael Paul Stephenson, who starred in the memorably strange/awful Italian flick at age 10. The nationwide rollout via Area23A begins with an opening-night event at Austin, TX’s Alamo Drafthouse.

On Friday, April 23, the Drafthouse screenings (times to be announced) will be followed by Q&As with Stephenson and TROLL 2 leading man/BEST WORST MOVIE “protagonist” George Hardy. There will then be a after-party at The Highball (free to screening-ticket holders) with a showing of TROLL 2 and folks from the film in attendance.

Subsequent BEST WORST MOVIE opening dates (many of these screenings will also host cast and crew) are as follows:

May 14: New York, NY’s Village East Cinema

May 21: Los Angeles, CA’s Landmark Nuart

June 4: San Francisco, CA’s Landmark Lumiere

June 4: Berkeley, CA’s Landmark Shattuck

July 2: Washington, D.C.’s Landmark E Street Cinema

July 16: St. Louis, MO’s Landmark Tivoli

July 23: Atlanta, GA’s Landmark Midtown Art Cinema
