Writer/director Bong Joon-ho’s MOTHER took home some major trophies at the fourth Asian Film Awards held in Hong Kong. The South Korean filmmaker, who last gave us the superlative THE HOST, led his countrymen in six wins, including best film. Read on for more details and the complete list of winners.
Bong’s thriller is about a mother who tries to clear her son of a murder accusation. According to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, the film’s Kim Hye-ja won for best actress and Bong and Park Eun-kyo nabbed the award for best screenwriter.![]()
