Indiana-based filmmaker Zack Parker (pictured left) sent along a progress report on SCALENE, the rape-revenge thriller he first told us about here, along with some exclusive new photos. The movie stars HALLOWEEN’s Hanna Hall, ORPHAN’S Margo Martindale and Adam Scarimbolo (pictured top to bottom below the jump), and a new trailer has been made visible as well.

SCALENE is about a woman who seeks vengeance after her mentally handicapped son is sent to jail for raping a college girl, presenting the story from three different points of view. “I’m thrilled about how the film is coming together,” Parker, who directed from a script he wrote with Brandon Owens, tells Fango. “The performances by Hanna, Margo and Adam are really powerful, and it was a great experience working with such seasoned actors, especially being a filmmaker who started in the microbudget world. I mean, these are actors from Academy Award-winning films, iconic movies. It was a bit surreal at times.

“What excited me most from the beginning,” he continues, “was the originality of how the story is told. Now that it has come together, I can truly say I have never seen a film like this before.
