Fango has obtained an exclusive clip (see below the jump) and further comments on the new semi-anthology chiller THE PERFECT HOUSE, which reunites SLEEPAWAY CAMP stars Felissa Rose and actor/musician Jonathan Tiersten. The movie (see previous item here) tells three tales of terror set within the walls of the same home: “The Storm,” “Chic-ken” and “Dinner Guest.” Our excerpt comes from “The Storm.”

“I originally wrote the third story ‘Dinner Guest’ a few years ago on a whim,” co-director Kris Hulbert tells Fango. “I loved the story, but it would only be a short film. I could never figure out a way to turn it into a feature without watering it down. I did nothing with it for over a year, until I saw an ad on CraigsList looking for horror shorts or features. It turned out to be Randy Kent [who co-directed THE PERFECT HOUSE]. He loved the story, but felt the exact same way I did. He eventually came up with the idea of: What if the house had more stories to tell? From there, we came up with the idea of each story taking place in a different time period.”

The filmmakers also decided on different cinematic approaches to represent each era. “Our first story is based on the ’50s-style black-and-white suspense where much of the violence was implied and off-camera,” says Hulbert, who also scripted the entire feature. “The second one is a classic slasher story from the ’80s and ’90s, leaving our final story for the present-day graphic stylings of a SAW or HOSTEL.”

THE PERFECT HOUSE will make its world premiere October 28 in Hulbert’s hometown of North Tonawanda, New York, with a probable LA debut to follow. “From there,” Hulbert says, “we plan to visit five to 10 markets with the film. After it shows well, we plan to push for a nationwide release. If PARANORMAL ACTIVITY can pull it off, imagine what adding a story and production quality can do!”
