Somes a good ol' fashioned slasher can be just like comfort food, and from the sound of its plot and look of these pics, MADISON COUNTY seems just like a plate of fried chicken and mac n' cheese. Read on for the details! 

Dread Central nabbed a whole bunch related to the upcoming kids-in-the-woods flick slated to begin production this September in Arkansas. The film stars Ace Marrero, Colley Bailey, Adrienne Harrell, Matt Mercer, Joanna Sotomura and LAID TO REST's Nick Principe, who will also be portraying this COUNTY's masked madman. To be directed by Eric England, the bloodbath will also utilize the very talented Robert Hall and his Almost Human EFX shop. 

Here's the synopsis: "A group of college kids travel to a small mountain town called Madison County to interview the author of a tell-all book about several grisly murders that happened there. But when the kids get to Madison County, the author is nowhere to be found and the locals act like they haven't seen him in years. They also say that the killer never existed and the murders never happened. However, when the kids start digging around to get their own answers, they find out that the stories may be more real than the townspeople are letting on."
