Sam Hulick is a BAFTA award-nominated and multiple award-winning composer best known for composing the signature music for BioWare’s epic sci-fi franchise MASS EFFECT, and the dramatic score for Tripwire Interactive’s groundbreaking RED ORCHESTRA 2: HEROES OF STALINGRAD. FANGORIA recently set down with Hulick to discuss the MASS EFFECT series, which just released its highly anticipated MASS EFFECT 3: EARTH DLC on July 17th. 

Zombie games have infected and devoured their way through all platforms. Their popularity and demand have never been higher, and as a gamer and horror fan, it is a trend I'm happy to see. Last month alone saw at least three major zombie releases, including young Juliet Starling's wacky adventure in LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW, and now, two new downloadable titles ―ZOMBIE HQ for iOS and THE WALKING DEAD EPISODE 2: STARVED FOR HELP.

THE SECRET WORLD is an upcoming MMO that imagines a world where all of the nightmarish monsters, myths and legends you've heard of in your lifetime are, in fact, real. The humans of this universe battle against these horrific creatures in a seemingly endless war that you are about to join. Fango spoke with the game’s senior producer and creative director Ragnar Tørnquist about the mechanics, some of the terrifying monsters you'll face and how the special locations in player vs. player mode will impact the game. Ask nearly any Xbox 360 owner about Kinect, and most would agree the hardware is a serious piece of technology that doesn't quite have enough high quality releases outside of casual experiences such as DANCE CENTRAL. Which is the primary reason why the announcement of From Software and Capcom's sequel STEEL BATTALION: HEAVY ARMOR was met with such a high level of anticipation and optimism. A game that provides serious first-person action combined with a mech simulator is enough to drive anyone to purchase a Kinect to propel the hardware into an entirely new degree of success. So, it’s a relief to see at least the majority of these high standards met.

When Suda 51 and Warner Bros. Interactive announced LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW last year, heads were turned, people were offended, but most importantly, gamers were given a glimpse at an interesting new take on what both zombie and action titles could encompass. LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW looked promising, and a game this unique obviously has unlimited potential. Luckily, LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW more than lives up all of the pre-launch hype, and will give players one hell of a wild ride.

Best known as the lead singer of Mindless Self Indulgence, Jimmy Urine also boasts talent in the realms of voice acting and musical programming, with both currently on display throughout every boss battle, and through the voice of zombie rock lord boss, Zed in the upcoming LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW. The sounds of award-winning composer Jesper Kyd (who’s most well known around the world for his contributions to mega game franchises HITMAN and ASSASSIN’S CREED), return this August alongside DARKSIDERS II.
