Cable Guy, since you're Norwegian, do you have an answer as to why in the hell the latest farce of a Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to a person who hasn't done a fucking thing to deserve it?

Re: Ask The Cable Guy

^^ Yeah one time. Even though we don't have that In Norway. It was installed for the occation. I was on a fotballtourney with the team I was playing for at that time. And between two matches I and some other boys on the team went to see Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World on the Drive-In Cinema.

I can't understand it. But the Nobel jury argumented with the fact that Obama has given people around the world hope. Not just because he closed down Gauntanamo, but because of his visions in the middle-east.
I could come up with many other people who deserves the prize more, but I guess it could be worse.

Is that what they're saying in Norway?  laugh laugh laugh laugh Because he didn't close down Guantanamo and his visions in the Middle-East have done nothing to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. No one here is really angry, just laughing our asses off 'cause that prize lost all its meaning when they awarded it to Arafat.

Either way, don't you find it as hilarious as I do that voting for the Nobel Peace Prize was done in February, meaning he was voted the Nobel Peace Prize, only weeks into his presidency? laugh

I'm with you, buddy. That award is meaningless. Anyway, fuck that award. On to my next question.

What is your favorite movie in each category?

Horror?

Action?

Comedy?

Sci-Fi?

Romance?

Adventure?

Animation?

Horror = Hardest to choose, cause Horror is my favorite movie genre. But some of my favorites is: [REC], Blair Witch Project, Jaws, Scream, SAW, Behind The Mask, De Dødes Tjern, Nosferatu & Right At Your Door.

Action = Hell Ride, Shoot Em Up, Battle Royale, Sukiyaki; Western Django & Revolver

Comedy = Without A Paddle, Cable Guy, Hot Fuzz, My Name Is Bruce & The Super

Sci-Fi = Event Horizon, The Abyss, Godzilla, Barbarella, Flash Gordon, Starship Troopers & Moon

Romance = True Romance & Natural Born Killers (It's the movie nearest to romance that I like. I really like the lovestory in those movies)

Animation = The Black Cauldron, Wizards & La Linea

I added some other categories also Wink

War = Inglorious Bastards (The Original), The Last Hunter & Saving Privat Ryan

Fantasy = Labyrinth, Wolfhound, The 10th Kingdom & Nightwatch/Daywatch

Drama = Control, The Doors & One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

Re: Ask The Cable Guy

^^ I guess you don't see those movied from the big picture.

Blair Witch made a revolution in filmmaking. They managed to make a scary as hell movie with a budget that's not much more than my savings are. No movie are able to recreate what this movie created.
Probably the best mockumentary ever made.

Scram made another step up in the slashergenre. By making parodies of every rule all other slashermovieds before it made was pure genious. It was trendy and hip and it was made in the right time.

Nosferatu was made in 1922, but that doesn't affect the fact that it's still one of the scariest movies ever made. That movie used effects that was before it's time. The gloomy feeling in the movie and the awesome picture makes a milestone in horrormovie cinema. The scene with the count walking up the stairs will always stand as one of the greatest scenes in cinema history.
