Troma is CRAP..
Why do they keep having Kaufman on the radio show?  Everything the guy has ever produced is pure garbage.  Please don't waste any more air time on the old fart.

Kaufman is very funny on the radio. I'd probably enjoy him more than Dee as a permanent co-host. Too bad most of his movies are so damn stupid.

They were good during the 80's and 90's when there wasn't a slew of independent film companies.

I like lots of Trauma movies. But Lloyd gets on my nerves a little. I turn it off after a little while when he's on.

Although I agree that Troma makes crap, they are a true indie production-house. But I was never a fan. During the late '80s and '90s, I preferred Charles Band/Full Moon (although they're far from perfect themselves).

I enjoy many Troma films , but i am with devil on this one , I prefer Zone Troopers, Jack Deth and puppetmaster films to most of Troma's offerings.

 I still think Loyd Kaufman is worth talking to. he's out there doing it, toughing it out as an indie and surviving!!

Kaufman is a very intelligent man. I don't know how many times I've had to defend him on here. Everything he does is for his fans, not the money. He is such a nasty yet sweet old man...we had a really nice conversation in person Smiley I love Troma with all my bloody heart!

He may be a nice guy but that doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the films he puts out.

If by quality you mean billions of dollars being spent on the film, then that defeats the purpose of independent film.  A lot of thought goes into his movies, the references being made are actually really clever and intelligent. The effects are pretty good too for such a low budget. The actors actually WANT to act in the movies...and they do a great job. Troma has been around for a long time now...they must be doing something right! They can put whatever the hell they want in their movies, no matter how offensive, and that's why I love them.
