Re: My name is Bruce

havent seen bruce

MMT was enjoyable for me - with the exception of a few different pieces of the movie it was pretty cohesive, and vinny is a fuckin freaky bad guy.

Re: My name is Bruce

I didn't like Meat Train at all and even though The Evil Dead is my favorite movie of all time, I'm not a Bruce Cambell fan so I doubt I would be able to sit through that.

Re: My name is Bruce

I've never seen "My Name..." but knowing the guy's ego it's probably just one long blow-job to himself Tongue

Wow, I had a chance to sit through a Q&A with Bruce after watching My Name is Bruce and didn't think he had an ego at all. As a matter of fact he ripped on himself and his career numerous times. Heck, even the movie makes him look bad and rips on his career. I liked the movie by the way. It is nothing spectacular, but it is fun to watch. Ted Raimi was awesome in his three roles in the movie too, especially Wing.

agreed. Bruce does not have an ego, and is quite the opposite. I've met him a few times, and he's a great, down-to-earth, make fun of yourself more than others kind of guy.

My Name is Bruce is hilarious for Bruce Campbell fans. Those that are not... probably won't like it. I was also at the movie premiere in Chicago, the Q&A with Bruce himself after the film...and Jeffrey Donovan (fellow Burn Notice star). It was a great time, full of laughs, and one of the best twenty bucks spent at a movie theater in quite some time.

Re: My name is Bruce

He was pretty dismissive to a group of fans in Anchorage recently. Maybe a bad day, but a "celeb" should alway put on their best face for their fans. Especially Bruce who, for reasons I'll never understand, has some absolutely obsessive fans.

Of course Beyonce probably would've just slapped everyone.

I liked them both. MY NAME IS BRUCE is mostly Bruce making fun of himself and his career. MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN is fun in that trippy way that Clive Barker films tend to have.

What is this movie about anyway?

I'm assuming Bruce plays himself, is it some kind of fictionalized documentary on his career?

Some teens desecrate a cemetery, disturbing a Chinese spirit who starts killing people. Bruce Campbell's "biggest fan" kidnaps him, hoping Bruce will save the town. Mayhem ensues.

"Midnight Meat Train" blows. CGI-gore, shitty ass "weird" ending. Haven't seen "My Name Is Bruce" yet. Don't know if I'll go out of my way to see it either. I never got the crazy fan appeal of the guy. He's ok.
