Re: THE MONSTER TIMES!

Sweet!  Capital idea.

There is no more foul and relentless enemy of man in the occult world than this dead-alive creature spewed up from the grave!

Re: THE MONSTER TIMES!

I have a back issue of monster times(sept. 1975.number 43)

I look at the news with great hope but when castle of frankenstein was rereleased it was a bit of a disapointment.I hope this isn`t the case.

Two new Fangoria mags for 2009! Monster Times for everyone, and Gorezone for grown ups. Fun for the entire family!

I can't even imagine a reworking of that mag being as good as the original. CoF was cutting edge for it's time, a cross between horror and politics. Still have all the originals, but they were very hard(or impossible) to collect, as they never released them on any set schedule.

I have a number of the original castle of frankenstein magazines I picked up when I saw them in stores ,comic book shows ,various conventions and such .the new versions of that kind of old magazines rarely come close to the originials.famous monsters of filmlands came fairly close in the 90`s.

I  still have hope monster times does the 70`s issues justice.since it is being put out by the fangoria/starlog people. it should.

Re: THE MONSTER TIMES!

For a sample of the quality of THE MONSTER TIMES digital issues, just check out the preview of the first ish of FANGORIA-

http://www.fangoria.com/graphixpreviews/fangoria001/

These were created from scans of an actual physical magazine copy, yellowed and creased pages and all.  This is the same love and care type of treatment that TMT will receive.

As stated on our masthead, FANGORIA is dedicated to the preservation of all things horror, and THE MONSTER TIMES is a true horror classic that definitely deserves the best.
