 Fact: Terrance Zdunich is multitalented. Having co-written REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA with Darren Smith, acted, sang and created animation for the film version and even directed a stage production, he has seemingly done it all in the short span of time he has been in the public eye. Zdunich is now turning his attention to comic books with THE MOLTING, a 12-issue series he’s writing, illustrating and self-publishing.

 A little while back, we heard from FX artist Jeremy Selenfriend about a movie he was involved with called PRINCE OF PIECES, which he told us was “a comedic horror movie with the killer as Jesus Christ, who goes around killing everyone in Biblical fashion: crown of thorns, pillars of salt, crawling leprosy, that sort of thing.” While the feature remains in preproduction, the concept will first emerge in a graphic novel, scheduled to go to print next February; we got exclusive concept sketches of the characters of Jesus, the Reverend and Jimmy, which you can see below.

Following Woody Allen's EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT SEX BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK in 1972 and Gene Wilder's YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN in 1974, film-based comics return to PLAYBOY after 35 years with a scene from Quentin Tarantino's INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS.
